Sacred Inner Strength – Conquering Pulling Power

My Son Sanctuary – An Unextinguished Spiritual Flame Amidst the Vast Mountains (4th – 14th Centuries)

Nestled in a narrow valley amidst the mountains and forests of Quảng Nam, My Son Sanctuary is the most important sacred temple complex of the Champa Kingdom, continuously built from the late 4th to the 13th – 14th centuries. For over 1,000 years, it was not only a religious center but also a symbol of power, faith, and cultural identity of the ancient Champa people.

Initiated during the reign of King Bhadravarman (4th century), My Son gradually formed a complex of over 70 temple towers, featuring various architectural and sculptural styles, reflecting the rise and fall of different Champa dynasties. All dedicated to the god Shiva – the supreme protector, symbolizing the power, destruction, and rebirth of the universe.

What makes My Son magnificent is not just its scale or age, but its extraordinary architectural inner strength:

Red brick blocks stacked so tightly that no mortar joints are visible

Tall, vertical structures, symbolizing Mount Meru – the sacred axis of the universe in Hinduism

Patterns, bas-reliefs, and sandstone statues bearing strong indigenous imprints yet blending with the Indian spirit

Having endured wars and destruction, by 1975 only about 32 structures remained, yet the spiritual and artistic value of My Son has never diminished. In 1999, UNESCO officially recognized My Son Sanctuary as a World Cultural Heritage site, acknowledging it as a special testament to cultural exchange and the enduring creativity of Southeast Asian people.

Amidst the deep forest, amidst ruins and time, My Son still stands – unyielding, as a reminder of the inherent strength of great civilizations.

PALFINGER – From a Small Workshop to a Global Traction Icon (1932 – Present)

If My Son is a symbol of spiritual inner strength, then PALFINGER embodies modern technical inner strength.

Founded in 1932 by Richard Palfinger in Austria, PALFINGER began as a small mechanical workshop specializing in repairing and manufacturing hydraulic equipment. From that humble beginning, PALFINGER gradually rose to become one of the world’s leading lifting equipment groups, present in over 130 countries.

A defining milestone for PALFINGER came in 1964 when the company introduced the hydraulic knuckle boom crane – a revolution in the transport and construction industries. Since then, PALFINGER has continuously expanded its product ecosystem:

Truck-mounted knuckle boom cranes

Access platforms

Tail lift, hooklift

Lifting solutions for marine, rescue, and defense sectors

Notably, PALFINGER solutions mounted on tractor heads have become the top choice for tasks requiring significant pulling power, high stability, and the ability to conquer challenging terrains – from high-altitude construction sites, transportation infrastructure, to mining and heavy logistics.

Entering the new decade, with its Vision & Strategy 2030, PALFINGER focuses on:

Equipment digitalization

Smart control systems

Sustainable, environmentally friendly lifting solutions

PALFINGER doesn’t just ‘lift goods,’ but also lifts human limits.

June’s Intersection: When Inner Strength Meets Pulling Power

June – a transitional season, when nature is at its harshest, and humans need the most willpower and endurance.

My Son teaches us that:

To reach high, one must have a spiritual foundation and deep, enduring inner strength.

PALFINGER tractor heads affirm that:

To go far, one must have sufficient pulling power and robust technology.

Amidst the sacred mountains and forests of My Son, the unyielding spirit of the ancient Champa people meets PALFINGER’s modern engineering philosophy – durable, precise, conquering all terrains.

It is a timeless parallel:

On one side, a thousand-year-old heritage standing firm amidst ruins

On the other, leading industrial equipment amidst global competition

My Son awakens amidst mountains and clouds
PALFINGER conquers slopes, steady on distant roads.
