Largest Lifting Capacity in the Rough Terrain Crane Segment

The 145 metric ton capacity of the GR-1450EX surpass Tadano’s current largest capacity of 80 metric ton. Features include a 6-section, innovatively designed round boom, which is the longest in its class, as well as a lengthly 61m and max. 61.3m lifting height/56.0m load radius with a single telescopic cylinder.

Compact Body

The GR-1450EX features a compact 3-axle body, with width and height similar to Tadano’s GR-800EX. This design improves maneuverability and allows for movement in narrower spaces.

Assembly and Disassembly System

The GR-1450EX is equipped with various assembly and disassembly systems to aid in movement and transport. Only the boom assembly/disassembly system is optional.

Automatic Load Moment Limiter (AML-C)

Tadano’s new AML-C system is easy to use, allowing operators to simultaneously monitor the following parameters: boom angle, boom length, lifting cylinder operating pressure, outrigger extension width, swing position, rated lifting capacity, and current hook weight.

As a result, AML-C can flexibly adjust to load changes without needing to alter configurations or codes to perform lifting operations.

Asymmetric Outrigger Extension Control

When operating the crane with asymmetrically extended outriggers, the AML-C system automatically detects the outrigger extension width at the front and rear, as well as the left and right sides of the crane, to optimize the working value in each area.

When slewing the boom from an area with longer outriggers to an area with shorter outriggers, the AML-C automatically detects the movement and displays the maximum load capacity depending on each outrigger extension width, while slowing down the movement before reaching the permissible capacity limit.

Therefore, even if the crane operator does not realize the change in capacity, the AML-C system continuously monitors and ensures safe operation.

Fuel Monitoring

The system continuously monitors and displays fuel consumption information on the AML screen. Checking this indicator helps prevent unnecessary acceleration and reduces fuel waste during idling.

Eco Mode

The system controls the engine’s maximum speed during crane operation. Additionally, by limiting unnecessary engine speed increases during excessive acceleration, the system helps reduce CO₂ emissions and fuel consumption by up to 13% when using Eco mode 1, and up to 21% when using Eco mode 2.

Furthermore, Eco mode also significantly reduces noise.

Positive Control

The system effectively controls the amount of hydraulic oil pumped during crane operation, based on the operator’s lever control. Additionally, the system maintains the pumped oil volume at a minimum, helping to reduce CO₂ emissions and fuel consumption by up to 20%.

Hello-Net

Hello-Net is a standard feature designed to help customers operate cranes efficiently directly from a computer or mobile device. Customers can monitor crane operations, work history, machine location data, and maintenance information. Tadano provides enhanced customer support through the Hello-Net system.
